Four Seasons External Redecoration

Value: £59,500

Granby Court was built around 1960 and was used as a hotel until 1994. It was mostly used by gentry and wealthy visitors to Harrogate who wanted to take advantage of the benefits of the sulphur waters. Four Seasons (Granby Care) purchased the hotel in 1994 and renovated it into a Retirement & Care facility.

Project Work

This project was one part of a nationwide contract for Four Seasons, which included the external pre paint joinery repairs and re-decorations to all previously painted external substrates including fascia’s, soffits, gutters, windows, doors, rendering, balconies and associated metalwork.

Bell Group was asked by the client, Four Seasons, to complete the project in two phases to avoid undertaking the works during the winter and Christmas periods.

The front and side elevations were completed up to mid November 2008 with the rear being completed between February-March 2009

End Result

All of the painting work was programmed and done in line with the client’s brief giving each resident one week’s notice of work so that the residents were not disturbed early morning. All areas of work were cordoned off and completed in sections, to ensure minimum disruption to the residents. Both staff and residents were delighted by the outcome.
